Richards Layton Elects Kelly E. Farnan and John D. Seraydarian as Directors and Jason M. Madron as Counsel of the Firm

WILMINGTON, Delaware (June 13, 2011) – Richards, Layton & Finger has elected Kelly E. Farnan and John D. Seraydarian as directors of the firm and Jason M. Madron as counsel, effective July 1, 2011.

Farnan, a member of Richards Layton’s Litigation Department, handles complex litigation in the Delaware state and federal courts, as well as arbitrations conducted under the Delaware Uniform Arbitration Act and by the American Arbitration Association. She has also represented clients in rate proceedings before the Delaware Public Service Commission. Farnan received a B.S. from the University of Richmond and a J.D. from the College of William & Mary School of Law.

Seraydarian focuses on transactional matters involving Delaware alternative entities in the firm’s Limited Liability Company and Partnership Advisory Group. He renders advice and legal opinions in connection with a wide variety of transactions, and has also been involved in investment fund transactions, joint venture transactions, cross-border transactions and structured finance transactions. Seraydarian graduated with a B.S. from Brigham Young University and a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Richmond School of Law.

Madron, practicing in the firm’s Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring Department, focuses on representing debtors and creditors in chapter 11 cases. He has been involved in the representation of large restructuring clients and has participated in the representation of significant creditors. Madron earned a B.A. from Franklin and Marshall College and a J.D., cum laude, from Villanova University School of Law.
