Mark Purpura Named as One of the Best Lawyers Under 40 by the LGBT Bar Association

August 18, 2011

Washington, DC (September 7, 2011) – The National LGBT Bar Association is proud to announce the recipients of its second annual Best LGBT Lawyers under 40 award. The LGBT Bar established this award to recognize lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender legal professionals under the age of 40 who have distinguished themselves in their field and demonstrated a profound commitment to LGBT equality.

Mark V. Purpura, a director of Richards, Layton & Finger in Wilmington, DE, is one of the 40 award recipients. Mr. Purpura’s diverse legal practice focuses on complex transactions involving Delaware entities, as well as banking, trust and insurance matters. Earlier this year, he was instrumental in securing the passage of a bill legalizing civil unions for same-sex couples in Delaware.

The Best LGBT Lawyers Under 40 Class of 2011 will be recognized at the Lavender Law Conference being held September 8-10 in Hollywood, California. The National LGBT Bar Association’s congratulations go out to all of this year’s winners:
