The International Bar Association’s Annual Conference is the premier opportunity for legal professionals the world over to meet, share experiences, and develop business. This year’s conference will feature a wide array of substantive sessions, workshops and panels addressing issues ranging from arbitration to M&A law, from human rights to the ethics of the legal profession.
Sam Nolen will act as session co-chair on a panel entitled “Gorilla or Guerrilla – Managing Related Party and Conflict of Interest Transactions.” This panel will discuss issues that may arise in related party transactions and conflict of interest transactions, how they can be addressed in light of evolving case law and judicial review standards, and mechanisms such as board committees and special approval requirements to mitigate risk to shareholder interests.
