WILMINGTON, Delaware (August 2, 2022) – Richards, Layton & Finger has again been selected by Law360 as a Delaware Regional Powerhouse. The widely read legal profession publication noted that the firm “has been present from the start of Delaware’s corporate and business law prominence,” and is “at the top of its game.”
Law360 reports, “The firm led health care cost payment and management provider MultiPlan Corp. in a case that saw the first Delaware Chancery Court opinion on the application of general corporation law to a special-purpose acquisition company.”
The publication also reported that Richards Layton “represented bankruptcy debtors in two of the largest and most controversial Chapter 11 cases in recent months—the $7 billion bankruptcy restructuring of Hertz Corp. and the rework of Mallinckrodt PLC’s $5.28 billion in debt,” and “also played a lead role in a long list of disputes in multiple courts, including its representation of Dell Technologies Inc. directors in the proposed $42 million settlement of a potential nine-figure claim by Pivotal Software Inc. stockholders who challenged their payout in a $2.7 billion merger with Dell-controlled VMWare Inc.”
