Considered a “Center of Excellence”
WILMINGTON, Delaware (September 17, 2024) – Richards, Layton & Finger has once again been selected by Law360 as a Delaware Regional Powerhouse. Law360 annually identifies firms with a “strong regional presence” that drive legal work in the state while “representing clients in deals and cases that captured national attention.”
Law360 reported that Richards Layton is known as a “center of excellence” for corporate law, adding that the firm serves clients in a wide variety of industries, including manufacturing, energy, entertainment, tech, healthcare, and finance. Law360 called out the firm’s recent wins on behalf of Gilead Sciences, IDT Corp., and Nogin, as well as the launch of its new Mediation and Arbitration practice and milestone 125th Anniversary.
“A big portion of our work—certainly in our corporate, bankruptcy and IP practices—comes from national firms and national corporations,” explains Lisa Schmidt, the firm’s president. “But we certainly are involved in the local community, with local businesses and local transactions in the mid-Atlantic region, as well.”
“We’re fortunate in Delaware,” Lisa continued. “With 70% of the country’s Fortune 500 companies being incorporated here, we have the opportunity to serve clients across many different industries.”
