WILMINGTON, Delaware (October 14, 2024) – Once again Richards, Layton & Finger has been named a Top Performer and Compass Award winner by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), which highlights law firms and corporations with strong commitments to building a more inclusive legal profession. The LCLD is an organization of over 400 corporate legal officers and law managing partners devoted to promoting inclusiveness in their organizations, with the ultimate goal of building a more equitable and diverse legal profession.

The Top Performer award recognizes Richards Layton as being one of the organizations that is most engaged with LCLD’s activities and programs throughout the year. The Compass award recognizes Richards Layton as an organization that completed all the following requirements within a single calendar year: member (managing partner/general counsel) engagement with LCLD, nominate an LCLD Fellow, nominate an LCLD Pathfinder, and participate in an LCLD Pipeline program (the 1L Scholars Program or the Success in Law School Mentoring Program).

“Diversity, equity, and inclusion are core commitments at Richards, Layton & Finger,” says Doneene Damon, the firm’s Chief Diversity Director. “While we strive to advance these principles within our firm and the broader legal profession, we recognize that we can’t achieve this goal alone. Partnering with the LCLD in their vital work of promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal field is an honor. We’re thrilled about the chance to make lasting changes and proud to have our efforts recognized.”
