Richards Layton’s Edward Little Named to the Federation of Regulatory Counsel

WILMINGTON, Delaware (October 9, 2024) – Richards, Layton & Finger attorney Edward S. Little has been named as an Associate Regulatory Counsel Member of the Federation of Regulatory Counsel (FORC). FORC is a national association of attorneys specialized in insurance regulatory law whose mission is to raise and uphold the standard of excellence in the practice of regulatory law. Applicants must pass a rigorous vetting and interview process and meet a number of benchmarks before being chosen as FORC counsel members.

Ed focuses his practice on commercial transactions and insurance regulatory matters. His insurance regulatory practice involves advising U.S. insurance companies doing business in Delaware regarding compliance with the Delaware Insurance Code. His expertise includes the formation and operation of insurance companies and captives, change of control transactions, insurance holding company system registrations, and regulated investment activities. Ed serves on the board of directors of the Delaware Captive Insurance Association. He has been chosen as a Delaware Today Top Lawyer for four consecutive years.
Ed’s commercial transactions practice encompasses securitization, structured finance, asset sale and purchase, financing, and secured transactions. He also assists clients with the formation, structuring, and operation of Delaware limited partnerships, limited liability companies, and statutory trusts. Ed serves as secretary of the Delaware State Bar Association Commercial Law Section, which is responsible for proposing legislation involving Delaware statutory trusts, the Uniform Commercial Code, and banking.
